Retailers on Peruvian Avenue in Palm Beach are dismayed by a buildup of
portable toilets and construction materials resulting from the Worth
Avenue construction project that began yesterday.
One retailer, jeweler Adele Kahn, has started to circulate a petition
between other businesses on the avenue to formally object
to using the street as a kind of storage area for Worth Avenue building
work. According to Burkhardt Construction, the builder for the project,
it has a permit to store materials and other supplies in parking spaces
on Peruvian. [Palm Beach Daily News]
