The city of West Palm Beach tapped REG Architects to design the renovation of the 1922 Lake Worth Casino building today, though funding for the project is not yet secured. The city is seeking grants and other financing methods to pay for the estimated $5 million to $8 million rehabilitation. REG plans to hold public meetings for input on the final design; its contract is slated to be finalized in roughly three weeks. REG beat out New Mexico-based Living Designs Group and Beilinson-Gomez architects for the contract. [Palm Beach Post]
