South Florida pending home sales get big boost

Pending home sales in South Florida rose in April, according to the Realtor Association of Greater Miami and the Beaches, with Miami-Dade showing a 71 percent uptick over the same month a year earlier. Overall, South Florida saw 10,392 pending sales recorded in April, a 6.6 percent increase over March. The news comes on the heels of the March nationwide pending home sales report released by the National Association of Realtors this week, which shows that pending sales rose 5.3 percent month-over-month.
