Brandsmart expands to Dadeland Mall

Just across from the site of the former Linens ‘N Things at the
Dadeland Mall, Brandsmart USA is opening a new two-story,
44,500-square-foot location. The expansion of the Hollywood-based
store, which mostly sells consumer electronics, could be a boon for the
commercial real estate market in Miami-Dade County. “The site is ground
zero for retail in Miami,” said Paco Diaz, senior vice president at CB
Richard Ellis, which marketed the property. The store is smaller than
most of the chain’s locations, and might signal a new strategy for the
company. [Miami Herald]
