Palm Beach Hotel now in National Register of Historic Places

The Palm Beach Hotel, built in 1926 according to a design by Mortimer
Dickinson Metcalfe, has been named to the National Register of Historic
Places. The hotel, at 235 Sunrise Avenue in Palm Beach, received the
designation April 21. The building is one of many in the town to
receive the status, including the Paramount Theater, the Breakers, the
Chesterfield and the old Palm Beach Daily News building. The condominium hotel is managed by Pierre Hostyn
Realty. After years of updates to the building’s public interior
spaces, the Palm Beach Hotel Condominium Association plans to do
further renovations on the lower lobby.  [Palm Beach Daily News]
