Palm Beach Gardens attorney Joseph Miller, 63, has pled guilty to
mortgage fraud, after allegations that he conspired with others,
including Jason Vitulano, a branch manager at TopDot Mortgage. Miller was alleged to have been the
closing and title agent on fraudulent mortgage applications. Several
others have been charged in the scheme, including Peter Hartofolis,
from Queens, NY, a co-branch manager at TopDot, and Robert Hofler, a former
vice president at First Southern Bank. The defendants could serve up to
30 years in prison on each count. [SFBJ]
