Corcoran: Real estate is 20 percent fact

“Real estate is 80 percent psychology and 20 percent fact,” keynote
speaker Barbara Corcoran told the crowd last week at the Executive
Women of the Palm Beaches’ Women in Leadership Awards luncheon.
Corcoran, who left her eponymous firm altogether in 2005 after selling
it to NRT in 2001, has since been building a second career as a
television personality: she’s now a contributor for CNBC and NBC’s
“Today Show” and appeared on ABC’s “Shark Tank” reality show as a real
estate expert last summer. “In Palm Beach — and any luxury market —
keep the faith. We are at the cusp. The market is about to turn
around,” Corcoran said Thursday, comparing Palm Beach to Manhattan’s
Fifth Avenue in terms of price flips. “Those prices go down the least
