PBC foreclosures down 47 percent in April

Palm Beach County foreclosure filings continued to drop in April, with 1,529 properties receiving notices, the Palm Beach County Clerk and Comptroller revealed yesterday. That’s a 47 percent decline from April 2009, but with the court’s backlog at 53,000 pending foreclosure cases, it’s “too soon to gauge whether the decrease is part of an ongoing trend,” the clerk’s office said.
