Debra Villegas, Ponzi-schemer Scott Rothstein’s second-in-command, is expected to enter a guilty plea, a federal prosecutor said yesterday during a procedural hearing. Villegas, who was allegedly given a $475,000 Weston home by Rothstein in exchange for aiding him in his $1.4 billion fraud, was charged with conspiracy to commit money laundering last month, when she pleaded not guilty. She faces up to 10 years in prison. [Sun Sentinel]
