Meek challenges Greene’s Florida residency

U.S. Representative Kendrick Meek is stepping up his attacks on real
estate developer-turned Senate candidate Jeff Greene, claiming on a
website Meek created this month that Greene would not be eligible to run
for any other statewide office because of a short period of residency
in the state. According to the Miami-Dade County Property Appraiser,
Greene purchased a condo on Alton Road in Miami Beach for $3.1 million
in April 2008, in addition to his purchase of 1200 South Ocean
Boulevard in Palm Beach at the end of 2009. According to the Florida
Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, Greene obtained his
