Inside the new insurance bill that would raise property insurance rates
statewide is a provision that allows people trained by the National
Association of Christian Catastrophe Insurance Adjusters to be exempt
from a law requiring a state exam for insurance agents, customer
representatives and adjusters. The provision was proposed by Sen. Dave
Aronberg, who represents areas of Palm Beach County, who said he was
asked to include the bill by one of his constituents. The group is one
of several that are allowed to train insurance representatives, and
there is some dispute over whether non-Christians are allowed
membership in the organization. [Sun Sentinel]
