A drywall lawsuit originally filed by Jason and
Melissa Harrell, homeowners at Keys Gate in Homestead, has become
the nation’s first class-action drywall suit with Miami-Dade County
Judge Joseph Farina’s certification of the case. The class could include 152
homeowners, although it is limited to Keys Gate residents. “There is
some sort of justice that a Florida court is the first to certify a
class because the majority of people suffering with Chinese drywall are
from Florida,” said Victor Diaz, an attorney at law firm Podhurst Orseck, which is
representing the Harrells. [SFBJ]
