Worth Avenue’s $13 million makeover is on its way
The northern portion of Worth Avenue between Hibiscus Avenue and
Cocoanut Row will now be back open to pedestrians, after the phased
demolition and installation of new sidewalks that began Monday will be
finished. The sidewalk is being constructed with a special surface
called tabby, which is embedded with seashells, revealed after
sandblasting. Sidewalks have also been finished on the east side of
Cocoanut Row, in addition to new palm trees planted, all part of the
retail thoroughfare’s $13 million makeover. Attorney Harvey Oyer is the legal advisor on the project. [Palm Beach Daily News]
