Manalapan manse sells for $7.15 million

The Chateau Mer au Lac in Manalapan sold for $7.15 million, according
to real estate sources. Previously listed for $8.95 million, the
11,000-square-foot house was sold to Lawrence A. Moens Associates in
Palm Beach by the Albert C. Ebert Residuary Land Trust. The estate was
built in 1955, and features 190 feet of ocean and intracoastal
frontage. The home was purchased by Chicago real estate investor Albert
Ebert for $1.6 million in 1987, and has a current assessed value of
$7.1 million, according to the Palm Beach County Property Appraiser. [Palm Beach Daily News]
