Jury selection begins in Miami drywall suit

Jury selection began in the first class-action drywall trial in the
United States yesterday in Miami-Dade County Circuit Court. Judge
Joseph Farina is presiding over the case between a certified class of
homeowners, led by Armin and Lisa Seifart, against Miami-based Banner
Supply. Testimony is scheduled to begin today after two hours of
jury questioning Monday. Some of the first drywall cases are in Florida
because around 60 percent of the problematic material from China was
imported to the Sunshine State. [SFBJ]
