Real estate industry protest planned

A group of community advocates plans to protest a Fort Lauderdale real estate industry fundraiser this evening to draw attention to Amendment 4, a land-use rider that would take greater community input into account during the development approval process, according to supporters. The event, which is taking place at YOLO restaurant tonight at 333 Los Olas Boulevard, is likely to draw numerous South Florida real estate bigwigs, including Colin Brown, CEO of JM Family Enterprises, a multi-billion dollar real estate development company. Amendment 4 will be up for vote in November and, if passed, would affect city and county developments. TRD
