A legal battle is brewing in Miami Beach following the execution of a bizarre will, which left an $8.3 million mansion in the control of a late heiress’ three beloved pups. Gail Posner left her mansion — and a $3 million trust fund — in her dogs’ possession, while granting a group of seven staff members $26 million in her will and allowing a handful of them to remain residents in the mansion rent-free. The only caveat is that they are required to care for the dogs and Posner’s collection of pet turtles. But Posner’s son, Bret Carr, is calling foul, claiming that his ill and highly medicated mother was unfairly influenced by her staffers — he claims the estate and house are rightfully his. No word yet on whether Carr intends to assume custody of the dogs, should he get the rights to the house. [WSJ]
