More hotels hit Miami-area market

Two new Miami-area hotels are joining the glut of recent launches, according to Hotel Chatter. The first, Palmer House, at 1119 Collins Avenue in South Beach, 46-room hotel includes four junior suites and pet-friendly rooms. Vikram Chatwal Hotels, perhaps best known for its “Dream” line of hotels, developed the project. Rates there start at $109.20 per night. The other, known as Daddy O, is an incarnation of a hotel in Long Beach Island, N.J. The self-described “small, stylish” hotel at 9660 East Bay Harbor Drive in Bay Harbor Islands has starting rates of $124 per night. [Hotel Chatter]
