Revised Belle Isle Key plans to be up for discussion tomorrow

The architects working on Belle Isle Key Apartments, the three-story apartment complex slated for demolition and redevelopment at 31 Venetian Way in Miami Beach, are scheduled to present revised plans for the site at tomorrow night’s meeting of the Belle Isle Residents Association. The new five-story project by Luis Revuelta and partner Barbara Pederzoli would have apartments, a parking garage, pool and tennis courts. Originally, the city’s review of the plans rendered them out of scale and character with the neighborhood, and Revuelta had agreed to work with both University of Miami architecture professor Jean-Francois Lejeune and a Belle Plaza resident to study the project’s impact on the area. The city’s Design Review Board is slated to vote on the new design July 6. [Bell Isle Blog via Miami Herald]
