The Palm Beach Town Council has approved the plan by Terry Taylor, owner
of the Casa Nana estate, to build a tunnel from his home, at 780 South
Ocean Boulevard,  to the beach. The plan will allow a 114-foot
pedestrian tunnel from the estate beneath South Ocean Boulevard to allow
safer passage between the east and west sides of his estate. The town
has approved such tunnels for several other homeowners on the street.
The town has given Taylor six days to complete the tunnel, with a $1,000
fine for each day beyond that. The project still requires Department of
Environmental Protection approval, meaning it could begin by September. [Palm
