Lauderhill’s planned Gospel Complex for Education & Preservation, a music center that was intended to lure music industry tourists to the area, has been postponed indefinitely after falling short on the cash needed to begin construction. The 90,000-square-foot facility is slated to contain a museum, recording studios, classrooms, a conference center and a store. Officials are still looking for a public or private partner for the project, for which the total cost is expected to be between $45 million and $48 million. [Miami Herald]
