US Capital Holdings, owner of the Fashion Mall in Plantation, has repaid its $2 million mortgage, according to Rob Jacoby, COO of Palm Beach
Gardens-based Menin Development. In turn, Menin has moved to dismiss the
foreclosure
action it filed
in May on the 600,000-square-foot property. China-based US Capital is looking to redevelop the site at 321 N. University Drive as a mixed-use complex. The company acquired the property in 2004, but Macy’s, the anchor tenant, abandoned the Fashion Mall after it was damaged by Hurricane Wilma
in 2005. [SFBJ]
