The planned indoor ski mountain at the
site of the failed Biscayne Landing development has been canceled by
backers of the deal. Norman Canter, one of the principals of the Solar
Mountain Group, said there were several unresolved problems with the
project, including an active lawsuit against the city by the previous
developer, so Solar did not close June 30 on its $30 million bid. He
did say, however, that the group was looking for five alternative sites in Miami-Dade and
Broward counties. [SFBJ]
