The hardest-hit South Florida zip codes

The zip code covering Pompano Beach and Lighthouse Point had the
greatest percentage decline in median home sales price in Broward County
in the last five years, according to MDA DataQuick, a San Diego-based
research firm. In Palm Beach County, the 33407 zip code, which includes
West Palm Beach and Riviera Beach, fell the most, with a 77.4 percent
decline to just $43,000. Some areas, like the zip code west of Boca
Raton, had its median sales price rise to $610,000. In the condo market,
only Palm Beach, South Palm Beach and certain portions of Fort
