New Fannie website helps struggling homeowners

Mortgage giant Fannie Mae has created a website for struggling
homeowners needing assistance on avoiding foreclosure,
knowyouroptions.com. The site offers information on refinancing, payment
plans, forbearance agreements, loan modifications and other potential
solutions. For those homeowners who can no longer afford their
mortgages, but wish to avoid a foreclosure, they can learn about
so-called “graceful exits” — that is, short sales and deeds-in-lieu. “We
want to avoid foreclosure,” said Fannie Mae spokesperson Jason Vazquez.
