Loan modification counselors back in SF

Bruce Marks’ Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America will return to South Florida for its second loan modification expo,
this time at the Miami Beach Convention Center. While the group is
funded by the government, banks give it $500 for each successful
modifications that last three months without default. In its expo last
month in West Palm Beach, the Boston-based NACA counseled more than
24,000 homeowners. This is the group’s 14th such event nationwide.
Mortgage modification counselors will be on hand for 24 hours a day
during the event, which lasts through Monday. [Miami Herald]
