A Miami developer has purchased a half-complete, 11-story condominium tower
overlooking the new Marlins stadium in Little Havana for a 66 percent
discount, according to a report from Condo Vultures. Spain-based Caja de
Ahorros de Galicia, which operates a foreign bank agency in Brickell,
sold the La Veredita IX tower, which has been topped off but not built
out, for $4.05 million on Sept. 3. Last year, the lender seized the
property, which is located at 1760 NW 7th Street, two blocks west of
the stadium. Buyers are looking
toward the Little Havana neighborhood
in advance of the stadium’s
completion in 2012. TRD
