NACA starts national loan mod event

The Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America, which has run a
series of loan modification events for South Florida homeowners, is
beginning what it calls a “National Foreclosure Week of Action.” The
group, led by CEO Bruce Marks, is bringing homeowners to Washington to
urge lawmakers to pressure banks into offering more affordable mortgage
payments. “It is up to Congress to advocate for their constituents,”
Marks said in a statement. The group has previously held events in South
Florida cities including West Palm Beach and Miami Beach. NACA recently announced it would open a permanent office in Miami. [Sun
