Since the federal home tax credit expired at the end of June, several
major metro areas have seen their home-sale markets fall. Miami-Dade
County, however, has ignored the post-tax credit hangover, with
Miami-Dade County’s sales staying flat, according to data from the
Florida Association of Realtors. Miami-Dade’s numbers are an indication
that falling prices, along with foreign buyers, are helping to sustain
sales in the area. Sales of existing homes, condos and townhouses went
up 31.3 percent in August compared to the same month in 2009. Condo
sales also went up last month
