Florida’s foreclosure activity is the heaviest in America, according to a
chart produced by the Washington Post. The dark-orange color that
dominates Florida on the chart represents a rate of homes in foreclosure
between 8 and 17.5 percent. The data from CoreLogic is current as of
September 2010. The only area in the U.S. with rates as high as the
Sunshine State is the southern portion of Nevada. The Obama
administration says a nationwide delay in foreclosures could devastate
Florida’s market. [Washington
