Bar looking into foreclosure misconduct

Two dozen Florida attorneys are the subject of a Florida Bar
investigation into alleged misconduct related to foreclosure cases.
Mayanne Downs, president of the Bar, sent a letter to Florida’s chief
judges last week asking them to report orders issued in cases where Bar
rules may have been violated. She said she often hears about the alleged
foreclosure misconduct from the media. “We wanted to be sure judges
knew we had the interest in, and the resources and capabilities to
