Two years ago, agents topped the list of drivers from various industries who were getting out of their expensive car leases — defined as a car valued at or above $40,000 — with 68 percent escaping for financial reasons, according to data analyzed by LeaseTrader.com, an online leasing service. This year, agents looking to downsize dropped to 43 percent, still feeling the effects of the slowed housing recovery, with only a slight discrepancy between the genders — men comprised 51 percent of the group, while women accounted for 49 percent. Meanwhile doctors ranked in first place this year, at 54 percent, with male doctors outnumbering females, three to one. Other professions included on the list were lawyers, financial executives and insurance brokers. TRD
