With the New World Symphony moving to its new Miami Beach headquarters this month, the almost-complete facility has gotten a name: the New World Center. The facility, slated to open officially Jan. 25, sits on 17th Street, opposite the Fillmore Miami Beach. It contains a concert hall designed by Frank Gehry, a city-owned parking garage and a park for outdoor events. The symphony’s last appearances at the Lincoln Theater are scheduled for Dec. 18 and 19.
