No talks for Biscayne Landing yet

The latest investment group proposing a project for North Miami’s
troubled Biscayne Landing site will not receive an audience with the
city manager until it can show evidence of the ability to finance the
project. North Miami’s city council considered the most recent project,
one by the North Miami Development Team, which includes the Carlisle
Group, but voted to require the organization to show direct proof of its
finances before direct negotiations could start. The new plan focuses
on retail, along with a hotel and elderly housing. [SFBJ]
