Books & Books to open Ft. Lauderdale branch

Books & Books is coming to Fort Lauderdale as part of the remodeled plaza at the city’s Museum of Art next month. The new $1 million plaza is slated for completion in mid-January and will include both an expanded museum café stocked by chef Allen Susser and the Books & Books store. The chain’s owner, Mitchell Kaplan, said he plans to carry inventory “not traditionally found in museum bookstores” and will look into music and children’s events, as well as author talks that would take advantage of the museum auditorium.
