A number of claims in a class action lawsuit against developer Donald
Trump concerning the Trump Fort Lauderdale have survived motions to
dismiss the case, with a federal judge in Miami ruling Dec. 23 that two
claims against the real estate mogul could proceed. There are several
civil claims alleging violations of Florida law by Trump in promoting
the property, which was formerly known as the Trump International Hotel
and Tower. The 298-unit project has not yet opened and a foreclosure
action was filed against it in March. [SFBJ]
