A foreclosure miracle in Hialeah

Last year, Magaly Cervantes was crying alongside her longtime partner
Julio Bermudez in a foreclosure proceeding in Miami-Dade County Circuit
Court. Despite reaching an agreement on a loan modification and not
missing a payment, the couple found out lender Chase had foreclosed on
the home and that it had been sold online. After several inquiries,
Chase discovered the error and admitted its mistake — the couple has
now received a new loan for $239,000. “Everybody in my family’s happy,”
