PB commission narrows landmark candidates

January 21, 2011 10:13AM

Palm Beach’s Landmarks Preservation Commission met Wednesday to review the
list of candidates for landmark preservation, narrowing it down to 10
potential sites. Now, the properties, including 100 El Bravo Way, 240
Jungle Road and 256 South Ocean Boulevard — each of which received the
most votes — will be considered. Three cottages that date back to the
late 19th century on the Breakers did not receive consideration because
the board plans a conversation with the Breakers about the possibility
of adding them to the preservation list. [Palm
