The Miami Dolphins have offered to alter a proposed state bill that would move funds toward renovating Sun Life Stadium. Dolphins CEO Mike Dee said a new split would give 60 percent of the revenue from a regional tourist development tax to the Miami Beach Convention Center, and 40 percent would go to the Sun Life remake. “We wanted to demonstrate that we are all in,” Dee said. Under the original proposal, half of the new funds generated, which Dee estimated at $300 million, would go to Sun Life Stadium. The Dolphins have run up against opposition in their bid for financing from Broward County commissioners and Miami Beach commissioners.
