With the economy rebounding faster than the local housing market, South Floridians are increasingly ponying up the cash to remodel their homes. Those who’ve decided to remodel include the new owners of formerly foreclosed-on properties, which often need major renovations. They also include underwater borrowers who are hoping that investments in upgrades like new floors and windows will help them sell once home values rebound further.
