Dania Beach residents want payout after airport expansion

After fighting for more than three decades to prevent an expansion of the Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport, homeowners in adjacent Dania Beach say they’re ready to throw in the towel. But first they want Broward County to buy their homes at a fair price, claiming that the new runway would decimate their property values and make it difficult to find buyers.
