Dan Marino and his former home
Following in the trend of athletes trading Florida real estate, Hall of Fame quarterback Dan Marino has sold his Weston home for $7.2
million, five years after listing the property for $15.9 million. The buyers
were Florio and Glenda Abbate. Florio is the former president of
Saxo Business Systems in Miami Lakes. Marino purchased the home, which was built for his use, in 1995 for $2.15 million. The 19,496-square-foot estate
sits on 4.3 acres on a peninsula in Weston. The most recent MLS listing
had the price at $12 million. [Sun
