600 Brickell to open this summer

Foram Group’s 600 Brickell Avenue office tower will make its debut in August as the Brickell World Plaza. Formerly known as the Brickell Financial Centre, the 40-story building has yet to sign its first tenant but is already LEED Platinum-certified. The developer recently received $130 million in financing to complete the 600,000-square-foot property from investment firm Canyon Capital Realty Advisors, in which former NBA star Magic Johnson is a partner. CB Richard Ellis’ Noël Steinfeld and Chris Dekker have been tapped to lease the office spaces in the building, while Foram will do its retail leasing in-house. [SFBJ]
