Florida Gov. Rick Scott said that the future of the $1 billion “hardest hit” program, which aims to help underwater and unemployed Floridians, is still up in the air.”Governor Scott’s staff continue [sic] to review the program with staff from the Florida Housing Finance Corporation,” said Brian Hughes, a Scott spokesperson. “No final decision has been made regarding the future of this program.” Of five states that received federal funding in February 2010, only Florida has yet to fully implement the program.
