According to a spokesperson for Florida Gov. Rick Scott, the foreclosure
problem won’t be solved by the Hardest Hit Fund, for which the
governor finally approved the distribution of funding last week. “The
best way to keep someone in their house is to help them get a job that
gives them the resources to pay for it,” said Brian Hughes, Scott’s
deputy communications director. After an amendment to the Hardest Hit
program, it will now help twice as many homeowners. [Sun
