Florida International University has inked a $12 million deal for a new 32,000-square-foot campus in Downtown Miami. The university’s 10-year lease covers three floors at 1101 Brickell Avenue, which is owned by Florida East Coast Realty. The space will accommodate 1,000 students in FIU’s College of Business Administration, School of International and Public Affairs and the Metropolitan Center beginning in the fall. FUI is planning to vacate its spaces at 150 S.E. Second Avenue and in the Macy’s building, which currently houses the Metropolitan Center. [SFBJ]
