A vacant site at 9001 SW 92nd Avenue in Miami has been purchased by
Baptiat Health South Florida from developer Armando Codina for $15
million. According to Ana Lopez-Blazquez, chief strategic officer at
Baptist Health, the purchase is a so-called “legacy purchase,” meaning
when hospitals make acquisitions of sites nearby their locations. In the
short term, it could be used for parking. “That’s the near-term
option,” Lopez-Blazquez said. “I can’t say what will happen in five or
10 years.” [SFBJ]
