State officials warn against fake foreclosure assistance website

A website mimicking a state-run foreclosure prevention site has cropped up, Florida officials say. The site, floridahardesthithelp.org, is a copycat of Florida’s Hardest Hit Fund, experts say, a legitimate program that is funneling more than $1 billion in state funds for foreclosure assistance (that site is flhardesthithelp.org).
