David Stern: firm went “above and beyond”

According to a letter sent by troubled foreclosure attorney David Stern
to Palm Beach County Chief Judge Peter Blanc, his firm went above and
beyond what was necessary in handling the files of former clients after
losing its business last fall. Operations for the company shut down
March 31 and it sent a letter to judges to handle cases. “When we were
terminated, the former clients removed their files and instructed us to
take no further action on their behalf,” Stern wrote. “These clients
failed to take into consideration any succession planning at the time of
termination. Furthermore, they have not provided any oversight or
management into the successful substitutions of legal counsel in their
pending cases.” [Palm
