Palm Beach State College’s first outdoor amphitheater made its debut yesterday on the school’s Palm Beach Gardens campus. The new, 1,205-square-foot, 450-seat theater, which cost around $51,000 to build, is the second phase of an $851,000 campus greening project. The first phase was its Myrna Rubenstein Pavilion, which opened in 2008. The school, which still wants to upgrade the sound system and seating space if it gets a donor to put up $150,000 for the project, ultimately plans to rent out the space to generate revenue.
